***Water's Of Mars Spoilers****

Well not really spoilers but that was one hell of an episode and very cleverly written if I do say so.

Last 20 minutes to go and I really was wondering whether Doc was going to spring into action or if this was going to be one of those very rare occasions when he let's what suppose to happen...happen.

Then BAM mini God complex right at the end is kicked where it hurts and he's...hopefully... put back in his place.

Some great one liners as well. =3

I thought Skins was kinda good, first 2 series at least... after that it got a little... (more) out there... Thanks though! I'll be sure to keep my eye out for Inbetweeners.

Do you get any american shows in the UK? I wouldn't expect you to get alot of the good stuff (as is the case with BBCA over here), but I ask mainly to see if you've ever seen Scrubs. It's my favorite non-sketch comedy show and I know they've aired it in the UK before...

ANYWAY... *smacks self with off-topic bat* Sorry to completely derail these comments, I just find I enjoy alot more British shows these days.

I freaking love scrubs. -.- I'm a student, when we come on home from uni and we're not dribbling from work overload, it's scrubs. We get heroes and lost, ER and all kinds of things. ^^

And no prob's, I like talking and getting to know people. XD

Hah, that's great to hear. Also, sorry about the double post. My poor internet connection made me click reply twice out of impatience. (It wasn't my fault, I swear! XD )

Coincidentally, I'm watching Scrubs right now (the one where Turk finds out he has diabetes). I swear, that show has been quoted among my friends and I more than anything we've ever watched - even Monty Python's Flying Circus and Whitest Kids U' Know (if you don't know what that is, it's the best [in terms of hilarity] /worst [in terms of taste] american sketch comedy show you could ever hope to watch Youtube it if you’re curious)

Anyway, yeah, I like getting to know people too (as you can tell).

Slightly back on topic, after watching the Waters of Mars, I think I've gotten back into writing. (Yes, I actually do write, despite the fact that the only composition I've posted on dA is a murder mystery that I've been trying to buff up since junior year of high school and am still not too proud of.)

Oh god, I agree. I'd say BBCA is currently more or less 50% Gordon Ramsay, 50% other lol. Haven't seen much Red Dwarf though...

I miss all the sketch comedy we used to get... *sniff*...

Oh, is Inbetweeners any good (if you've seen it)? I've seen it advertized recently, and I want to catch it. It looks good - certainly no Skins, but good nonetheless..

Inbetweeners is freaking hilarious! I suggest you watch it and prepare to cringe and laugh your head off. Skin's was never my cup of tea. It was posh kids doing silly posh kid things, where as shameless showed more of how I grew up. (Council estate for the win)

I just watched it tonight (finally!) BBC America aired an all-day Doctor Who marathon for the series finale which just ended. I've got two words... 'wow' and 'WOW'! =D

But, Waters of Mars... definitely at least one of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who! All of the Dalek/Sontaran/etc. stuff is good, but I just love it when there's an 'unseen' enemy and a largely disposable cast of auxiliary characters!

I think i enjoyed WofM more than I enjoyed the finale. XD Not that I didn't enjoy them, but the mars episode seemed to have more POW, if you know what I mean.

Oh yeah, I agree. Also, I love how they actually dimmed the audience's view of the character for once. And ending with a suicide... It's so dark... like something I would write lol

Not to mention, finally, an american auxiliary character whose NOT an antagonist!! XD Lol poor Roman (the names are still fresh in my mind from last night)

Haha. Well, you have to remember that Doctor Who has always been very British. But what with BBC America finally branching out and not just running re runs of Red Dwarf (or so my friend in Texas tells me) it has to broaden it's horizons.
